Calcium Peroxide (CaO2)
Calcium Peroxide is a solid peroxygen compound which is very safe to handle
compared to other peroxides. It contains mainly calcium peroxide, lime and
stabilizers. When brought in contact with water it breaks into Hydrogen
Peroxide and calcium hydroxide. Hydrogen peroxide thus released can be utilised
to oxidize organic wastes present in contaminated water or soil and also
acts as a source of oxygen to aqualife or micro-organisms for soil remediation.
The product causes no adverse effect to the environment.
